Dunbar is a small seaside town with a rich history.
The large harbour, once fortified and a busy fishing port and army garrison base is now quietly populated with yachts and crab boats. Visit environmentalist John Muir’s Birthplace and the Town House Museum for a wonderful insight into this seaside town and its natural beauty.
Golfers, surfers, walkers and birdwatchers will all find themselves at home here and the children will enjoy the cliff top Leisure Pool and nearby East Links Family Park.
Edinburgh, with all that that capital city has to offer, is just 20 minutes away by train or 45 minutes by car.
